Designed with a range of options, from taking time out with mindful yoga to getting creative as part of the hand-craft events, there is something for everyone to get involved with.

Embrace your inner Nashville soul and join us for our first ever country music month, here at the Cart & Horses! Over four weekends, we will be bringing you a host of exciting country music talent, with some genuine original tracks, as well as covers of modern country hits & some good ol’ classics.

WWCC & THE CART & HORSES RIDE OUT

6th September & 4th October, 9am

Join us for the next instalment of our epic ride outs, in partnership with the local Worthy Wheelers Cycling Club (WWCC).

Starting with us at 9am for coffee and a pre-cycle chat before heading out at 9.30am on a mighty 70k loop of the beautiful Hampshire countryside. Then join us back at the pub for post-ride analysis over refreshments and a warm-up by the log fire!

Aster & Lisianthus Watercolour Workshop

Friday 19th September, 10am-12.30pm

Learn to Paint Aster and Lisianthus flowers with Alison Jane

Join us for a relaxing workshop where you will learn how to paint vibrant, delicate Aster and Lisianthus flowers in watercolour.

You will begin with an introduction to watercolour basics, where Alison will show you the key techniques that will be used throughout the session. Then, together you will paint a selection of stunning flowers, step-by-step.

Everything you need for the workshop is included in the ticket price, along with a hot drink and a delicious fresh pastry to enjoy!

We can’t wait to paint these joyful blooms with you!

Grab your mates and pop on down for a fun-filled evening of quiz trivia and general knowledge questions at our monthly Pub Quiz! This month we’re continuing to raise money for our fabulous local charity partner, Friends of the Family. So do come along and support us! Follow us on our socials for more info. Macrame Air Plant Hanger Workshop

Saturday 27th September, 4-5.30pm

Join us for a delightful afternoon of creativity and cocktails! We are hosting a Macrame Air Plant Hanger Workshop with Mac and Weave, where you will learn the art of knotting to create your very own air plant hanger.

No prior experience? No worries! Char will guide you through the process, and you will be amazed at what you can create with just a few simple knots.

But that's not all! While crafting, you will enjoy a refreshing handcrafted cocktail (or non-alcoholic option). So come along, bring a friend, or make new ones, and enjoy an afternoon of crafting and cocktails. And leave with a beautiful air plant hanger to keep or even gift!

All materials and equipment are included, along with a delicious cocktail.

Fancy a spot of crafting while enjoying a delicious brunch? Then join us for our Macrame Bracelets and Brunch Workshop with the fabulous Mac and Weave!

This event is perfect for everyone, from complete beginners to seasoned macrame enthusiasts. At this workshop, you will learn how to create your very own macrame bracelet stack. Char will guide you through each knot and twist, ensuring you leave with a beautiful, handmade piece of jewellery to wear or gift.

But it's not all about the crafting. We believe good food is just as important and that's why brunch comes included. Choose from a selection of dishes and enjoy a cuppa as you relax and create.

Introduction to Modern Calligraphy Workshop

Friday 24th October, 10am-12.30pm

Ever wanted to write beautifully? To personalise cards, gift tags or even wedding stationery? 

Then join Alison Jane for a peaceful 2.5-hour beginners’ calligraphy workshop in our beautiful, private Saddle Room.

You will learn the foundations of modern calligraphy, from holding and using a dip pen, to forming letters, words and phrases. Alison will share tips and tricks, along with personal guidance and support.

As always, the atmosphere is calm and welcoming — a mindful moment in your week. We'll also enjoy a hot drink and a delicious fresh pastry during the session too!

This workshop is suitable for complete beginners — no experience needed, just a willingness to try something new!

Returning to the Cart & Horses, Black Cat Jam are a versatile boy girl duo, belting out all your favourites from Kate's voicebox and with the backing of Drew on guitars and beats. So why not join us for our Happy Hour – 4-7pm – and stay on for an evening of live music to build those feel-good weekend vibes!

Step into the festive season with our fabulous Macrame Christmas Wreath Workshop hosted by Char, of Mac & Weave!

This event is perfect for everyone, from those new to crafting to experienced macrame artists. You will learn how to create your very own macrame wreath, and Char will guide you through each knot and twist, ensuring you leave with a beautiful, handmade festive decoration to adorn your home or gift to a loved one. Relax & Paint: Bauble Painting Workshop

Tuesday 9th December, 7-9.30pm

Begin the festive season with a calm, creative evening.

In this relaxed 2.5-hour workshop, you will learn simple yet beautiful painting techniques to decorate three ceramic baubles – perfect to hang on your tree, gift to loved ones, or keep as a special memory.

Ideal for beginners and beyond, this gentle session is the perfect way to unwind and feel festive before the Christmas rush begins. We will also indulge in a delicious glass of something festive to embrace the spirit of the season!

All materials and a festive tipple included (non-alcoholic option available).

Additional baubles will be available on the night for £3 each.
