You will learn how to create your very own macrame wreath, and Char will guide you through each knot and twist, ensuring you leave with a beautiful, handmade festive decoration to adorn your home or gift to a loved one. And the best thing is that it will last for many seasons to come!

PAINT A BOTTLE OF FESTIVE FIZZ

Join us for a gorgeously relaxed morning, painting festive bottles of fizz with Alison Jane!

Perfect for beginners and beyond, this fun session teaches essential painting techniques to create beautiful festive illustrations. We will learn how to paint a selection of festive designs and how to layer the paint on the glass bottle for interest and detail.

During the workshop you'll create three decorations: a charming Christmas Gonk, a delicate knotted bauble, and a mini festive wreath.

Starting with us at 9am for coffee and a pre-cycle chat before heading out at 9.30am on a mighty 70k loop of the beautiful Hampshire countryside. Then join us back at the pub for post-ride analysis over refreshments and a warm-up by the log fire!

Relax & Paint: Bauble Painting Workshop

Begin the festive season with a calm, creative evening.

In this relaxed 2.5-hour workshop, you will learn simple yet beautiful painting techniques to decorate three ceramic baubles – perfect to hang on your tree, gift to loved ones, or keep as a special memory.

Ideal for beginners and beyond, this gentle session is the perfect way to unwind and feel festive before the Christmas rush begins. We will also indulge in a delicious glass of something festive to embrace the spirit of the season!

All materials and a festive tipple included (non-alcoholic option available).

Additional baubles will be available on the night for £3 each.

It’s the last weekend before Christmas! Fuel those festive vibes by joining us for an evening of live music with Cart & Horses favourite, Mackenzie & Duncan.

Acoustic pop duo, Mackenzie and Duncan, originate from the Hampshire and Berkshire border, and are firm favourite at the pub with their captivating and energising performance style. Their dynamic live sets feature a diverse repertoire of beloved songs, spanning both classic hits and contemporary favourites. And they will definitely throw a few well-known Christmas classics into the mix. So swing by for a fabulously festive Friday night!

New Year’s Eve

Let’s see in the New Year together! This year, embrace a traditional, cosy celebration, Cart & Horses style.

We love being part of this community, and we want to share the arrival of 2026 with all our local friends and neighbours! There’ll be live entertainment, a delicious, tailored menu of classics and special dishes for those who want to indulge; and a hand-selected lighter bites menu for those who just want to graze. The bar will be open, with drinks flowing all night and a sparkling countdown to the special hour. Booking recommended, but walk-ins welcome – the more the merrier!
