We host a range of events here at The Cart & Horses, working alongside a line-up of local creatives, artists, and independent businesses. Designed with a range of options, from taking time out with mindful yoga to getting creative as part of the hand-craft events, there is something for everyone to get involved with.

WORTHY WHEELERS CC & THE CART & HORSES RIDE OUT

Saturday 5th April / Saturday 3rd May / Saturday 7th June - 9AM

Join us for the next instalment of our epic ride outs, in partnership with the local Worthy Wheelers Cycling Club.

Starting with us at 9am for coffee and a pre-cycle chat before heading out at 9.30am on a mighty 70k loop of the beautiful Hampshire countryside. Then join us back at the pub for post-ride analysis over refreshments and a warm-up by the log fire!

Easter Holiday Fun at the Cart & Horses

Saturday 5th April to Monday 21st April

If you’re needing a bit of Easter inspo for the family, then hop down and see us over the holiday period!

We’ll have an Easter Trail (with mini sweet-treat prizes), a super Easter-themed competition (raising funds for Macmillan), and plenty of colouring and crayons to keep the kids entertained, whilst you sip on a tasty cocktail or two!

And don’t forget, we have brunch available everyday – perfect for fuelling family days out – and our kids menu runs daily for lunch and dinner too.

Have you ever wanted to learn calligraphy? To letter your own cards and gifts beautifully?

Come and learn with Alison Jane on her Introduction to Calligraphy course, whilst relaxing in the beautiful Saddle Room setting of our pub. The session will begin with an introduction on how to hold and use a pen, learning letter forms; and leading to creating words and phrases.

The course is suitable for beginners and offers plenty of hands-on help, tips and tricks from Alison! With its calm atmosphere and relaxing vibe, this session is perfect for a morning of mindfulness whilst learning a new skill.

Watercolour monograms

Come and spend a relaxing two and a half hours learning how to paint a beautiful monogram, decorated with a selection of delicate flowers.

Join expert tutor, Alison Jane, in our gorgeous Secret Garden for this special workshop in which you will create your very own piece of artwork!

Perfect for beginners and beyond, this session teaches essential watercolour techniques to paint floral illustrations and create an illustrated monogram of your own choosing.
